2 bedroom - 2 bath - 2 parking spots - balcony
1221 W 3rd Street Los Angeles, CA 90017
Everything about this complex is top notch. The amenities are great and the actual building is built really well and it is within 10 years old. Location is decent and there is a nice balcony, pool and awesome gym.
Biggest Pro :Great Views!
2 bedroom - 2 bath - 2 parking spots - balcony
725 S. Bixel St., Los Angeles, Ca 90017
Living at the Medici was great for a first time college student in LA. It is a perfect place for students that go to FIDM, Loyola, or USC...but do not recommend it for families. There is always parties going on. The place is pretty but the Resident Services are terrible. No one is nice. I lived in a 2 bedroom 2 bath and it was beautiful. The pool is nice but Saturdays are way too crowded and lots of drinking.
Traditional Loft Living/Chapman Flats /Lofts
Single - 1 bath - 1 parking spot
756 S Broadway Ave, Los Angeles, Ca 90014
Great first time loft experience. It was an office building 10 years ago and has been converted to living space. So you still get the old vintage, marble floors/walls in the common areas, and cement floor/brick walls in most units. Great thing is, there are plenty of space and huge windows with cool views.
Biggest Pro: Trendy Living, Can't hear neighbors
Biggest Con: Could be noisy on street side
Diamond in the Rough!/Santee Court
Single - 1 bath - 1 parking Spot
714 S Los Angeles St, Los Angeles, Ca 90014
Santee Court is a fantastic place to live in a not-so-fantastic part of DTLA. The multi building loft community is safety patrolled, loaded with amenities, includes one free parking space, and has a variety of awesomely hip layouts of all shapes and sizes. The management is communicative and helpful. Any problems we have had (few and far between) have been rectified immediately, and this goes for maintenance issues too!
Biggest Pro: Awesome staff, clean and pristine, constantly being updated.
Biggest Con: Close to skid row, included parking is a few blocks from building, move-in costs

Luxury Loft Living/SB Tower
1 bedroom - 2 bath - 2 parking spots (tandem) - balcony - pool
600 S. Spring Street, Los Angeles, Ca 90014
I lived in the Sb Tower for one year. Imagine walking in to the lobby to twin 20 foot waterfalls serenly streaming down the walls, lovely marble decor, clean, new, and modern. The security guard greets you nicely every time. A high speed elevator wisks you to your floor. Your steel door opens into a clean, fresh, marble and granite loft with dark wood modern kitchen, steel and marble bathroom with full sized bathtubs, beautiful blue tiles, balcony and 18 foot high ceilings. The roof boasts a lovely party or lounge area with pool, fitness room, sauna, and mountain views over the Downtown skyline.

743 S. Santee st/Santee Lofts
2 bedroom - 2 bath - 1 parking spot
743 S. Santee st, Los Angeles, Ca 90014
this is the best place i have lived in ever. its a massive two (bedroom) open plan loft with huge breakfast island in the middle and sliding doors for 1 of the bedrooms and the other bedroom is hidden round a corner with an en suite attached. it has an industrial feel with massive windows all the way round. We were the first people to live here and every thing was brand new clean and top notch. it is on the ninth floor and there are two lifts so there no waiting around. the loft building is in a community of four buildings each has something on the roof that we have access to, such as a pool, basketball court, golf swing and putting range and a bbq area. in the middle of all 4 buildings is a safe patrolled court yard with a shop, the leasing office, the gym, a food court, an art gallery and room for more. As for the area its downtown so if you walk one way coffee houses, shops and bars and the other way is skid row which i'm fine with but does bother my wife and brings me to my only complaint which is the free parking that comes with the loft is two blocks in the wrong direction and i think for the sort of rent we are paying they should have supplied us with the parking just outside the front door which is obviously more money for them. the management are great and overall i feel i'm getting new york style loft living half price because its in LA.
Biggest Pro: two massive bathrooms with bath shower toilet in each
Biggest Con: None
The Hayward has a really awesome rooftop patio, with benches and potted trees. With good weather, its a very relaxing place to hang out or read a book. Security is really friendly and they do their job well. Like any other downtown apartment, the higher up you are the quieter it will be during the day. Sometimes there is construction going on or a movie shoot going on.
Biggest Pro: Safety
Biggest Con: Parking
206 W 6th St., Los Angeles, Ca 90013
I have had a bedbug problem for years, but with certain sprays I figured out how to maintain it. Every weekend there is a party in the apartment below me, however it is only for 4 hours one time a week. Laundry and garbage room is a little dirty. The front door is always locked, it is a gated complex.
Biggest Pro:Landlord
Biggest Con: Parking
